What are genital ulcers?

Genital ulcers, which are ulcers that occur on the external genitalia (penis, scrotum, vaginal opening, labia) as well as on the skin and mucous membranes of the perineum.
1. Causes: There are many causes of genital ulcers: genital herpes caused by viral infections; chancre caused by syphilis; and soft chancre caused by bacterial infections.
2. Symptoms: the main manifestation is the appearance of small round or oval blisters on the skin and mucous membrane in the genital area, skin ulceration and erosion, and most of them are accompanied by swollen lymph nodes in the groin and other symptoms.
3. Treatment: Sensitive medications are chosen according to the cause of the disease. For herpes caused by viral infection, antiviral medications such as acyclovir and ganciclovir can be used; penicillin is the main choice for syphilis; erythromycin and ceftriaxone are the main choices for noma antibiotics.
Genital ulcers need prompt medical attention, and drugs need to be used under the guidance of a professional doctor.
