What’s wrong with the throat that feels fluffy?

The throat feels fluffy mostly because of foreign body sensation, considering factors related to chronic pharyngitis, reflux pharyngitis, nasopharyngeal carcinoma and so on.
1. Chronic pharyngitis: chronic pharyngitis is related to repeated episodes of acute pharyngitis, excessive smoking and drinking, and inhalation of harmful gases. Generally patients do not have obvious systemic symptoms, but the pharynx has foreign body sensation, itching, burning sensation, dryness or slight pain, which can be manifested as throat feeling plush.

3. Nasopharyngeal cancer: Nasopharyngeal cancer can also cause some patients to feel fluffy in the throat, which is mainly related to the damage of nasopharyngeal tissues by cancer cells. It is mainly related to the damage of nasopharyngeal tissues by cancer cells. It is also related to EBV infection, genetic factors, environmental factors, etc. Patients are prone to symptoms such as blood in the mucus, tinnitus, hearing loss, nasal congestion and enlarged lymph nodes in the neck.
4. Other factors: other chronic inflammation of the throat, overgrowth of the uvula, pharyngeal keratosis, tonsillar hypertrophy, endocrine dysfunction, etc., may cause the patient’s voice to feel fluffy.
