The statement of “which colon cancer is the best to treat” is incorrect. According to pathological staging, colon cancer can be categorized into early stage colon cancer and progressive stage colon cancer, in general, the prognosis of early stage colon cancer after standardized treatment is better than that of progressive stage colon cancer. Colon cancer is a malignant tumor originated from the epithelial cells of colon mucosa. Early stage patients have no obvious symptoms, but as the disease progresses, patients may suffer from abdominal pain, anemia, blood in stool and so on. Early stage colon cancer patients can alleviate their symptoms through comprehensive treatments such as surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy (e.g. capecitabine, oxaliplatin, etc.) and medication (e.g. cetuximab, bevacizumab, etc.) and the prognosis is relatively good, with a five-year survival rate of up to 90%, whereas patients with progressed colon cancer have a worse prognosis and shorter survival cycle. Patients should keep a good mindset, actively cooperate with doctors for treatment, and do not use drugs by themselves.
