Patients with advanced stage of liver cancer always grunt after sleeping considering that it may be due to physiological reasons, pain, phlegm blockage and so on, which need to be judged according to the specific situation.

3. Phlegm blockage: Patients with advanced stage of liver cancer have decreased ability of expelling phlegm, and they have to stay in bed for a long time for rest and treatment, so the phlegm will be blocked at the trachea and can not be expelled after sleeping, and they will make a total grunting sound.
