Difference between Shu Liver and Stomach Pills and Shu Liver and Stomach Pills

The differences between Shu Liver and Stomach Pill and Shu Liver and Stomach Pill are different drug composition, different efficacy and different main treatment.
1. Different drug composition: Shu Liver and Stomach Pill is composed of Hou Pu (ginger system), Xiang Fu (vinegar system), white peony (bran fried), Chai Hu (vinegar system), Qing Pi (vinegar fried), citron, Chen Pi and so on. Shu Hepatitis and Stomach Pill consists of vinegared Xiang Fu, Paeonia lactiflora, Buddha’s hand, Mucuna pruriens, Ul Jin, Chai Hu, fried Atractylodes macrocephala, Chen Pi, Patchouli, burnt betel nut, sizzling licorice, Lycopodium album, and Wu Yao.
2. Different efficacy: Shu Liver and Stomach Pill has the efficacy of dredging the liver and opening up depression, guiding stagnation and neutralization. Shu Liver and Stomach Pill has the effect of easing the liver and relieving depression, harmonizing the stomach and relieving pain.
3. Different treatments: Shu Liver and Stomach Pills are used for stomach and epigastric distension and pain caused by liver and stomach disharmony, fullness and stuffiness in the chest and ribs, vomiting and acid swallowing (swallowing the acid in the stomach upward to the mouth and pharynx), abdominal distension and constipation. Shu Liver and Stomach Pill is used for distension and fullness in both hypochondriums, pain in the stomach and epigastric region caused by disharmony between the liver and stomach, loss of appetite, eructation (hiccups) and vomiting, and bowel disorders.
Note that Shu Liver and Stomach Pill is contraindicated in pregnant women.
