Pharyngitis belongs to the category of Chinese medicine laryngeal paralysis (pharyngeal redness, swelling and pain, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or pharyngeal itching and discomfort, difficulty in swallowing), tangerine red for laryngeal paralysis of wind-cold syndrome has a certain therapeutic effect, but the efficacy of a single Chinese medicine is limited, clinically need to be in the traditional Chinese medicine practitioner after the identification of the evidence, and the use of other traditional Chinese medicines.
Huaganghong is pungent, bitter and warm in nature; it belongs to the lung and spleen meridians. It is used in treating wind-cold cough with excessive phlegm, chest and diaphragm distension, food accumulation (food that is indigested and stagnates in the stomach) and vomiting, yelping (hiccups).
Hwa Tangerine Hong is contraindicated in cases of qi deficiency, yin deficiency and dry cough with little phlegm. The adverse effects of Huan Tangerine Hong are not clear.
