The investigation of hip synovitis includes clinical visualization, palpation, and hip movement.
With this disease, walking is characterized by lameness. The affected limb is flexed at the hip, mildly abducted and externally rotated, and pain is felt in the hip joint.
Pressing on the affected area will lead to a round or oval-shaped swelling, which grows slowly and is accompanied by tenderness. If the localized swelling is superficial, a clear border can be touched, with a sense of fluctuation, and there is no bacterial inflammation of the skin. If the area is deep, sometimes the border may not be clear.
Hip joint pain occurs when moving, and even worsens after activity, followed by motor dysfunction. All of them should be examined.
When synovitis of the hip joint occurs, it is recommended to receive timely treatment under the guidance of a doctor to avoid further aggravation of the inflammation.
