Horner syndrome, also known as Horner syndrome, is a group of syndromes caused by sympathetic nerve compression in the neck.
Horner syndrome is mainly characterized by pupil constriction, eyelid ptosis, eyeball invagination, and absence of sweating on the frontal area of the affected side, as well as other phytoneurological dysfunctions. This is a relatively common syndrome, and the main causes include inflammatory injury, cerebral thrombosis, cerebral hemorrhage, and tumor compression of the sympathetic nerve.
Treatment should be tailored to the cause of the disease, such as inflammatory injury, can be treated with medication, usually can follow the doctor’s instructions to use ribavirin tablets to fight infection, oral methylcobalamin tablets and other neurotrophic drugs to promote the recovery of its function; tumor compression of sympathetic nerves caused by the need for surgical resection of the tumor treatment, to remove the compression of the sympathetic nerves.
It is suggested that patients should go to regular hospitals for examination in time after the occurrence of uncomfortable symptoms, to clarify the cause of the disease and cooperate with doctors for treatment, so as not to jeopardize their health. All drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
