What is the survival rate for stage IB lung adenocarcinoma without chemotherapy?

The five-year survival rate of patients with stage IB lung adenocarcinoma without chemotherapy is about 80%. According to the recommendations of lung adenocarcinoma treatment guidelines, patients with stage IB who do not have high risk factors for recurrence and metastasis generally do not need to do adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery, and most of the patients can achieve clinical cure, so the level of cure rate of this type of patients is relatively high. However, for stage IB lung adenocarcinoma patients with high risk factors, in order to reduce the recurrence and metastasis rate after surgery, the general treatment guideline recommends postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, so as to improve the cure rate to a certain extent, the current high risk factors include invasion of the pleura, large lung cancer foci, vascular embolism or nerve invasion, and high malignant degree of the pathologic type. Once diagnosed, patients with stage IB lung adenocarcinoma need to consult the thoracic surgery department or oncology department of the hospital in time for standardized diagnosis and treatment by doctors.
