Angelica Sinensis is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”, which is composed of Angelica Sinensis, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Paeoniae Alba, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong and Rhizoma Atractylodes Macrocephalae. It has the effect of nourishing blood and tranquilizing the fetus, clearing heat and strengthening the spleen. Clinically, Dang Gui San is mainly used for the treatment of restlessness of the fetus during pregnancy, and postpartum weakness and failure to discharge (a woman who cannot discharge the evil dew after giving birth).
