The efficacy of Chen Pi Pu’er Tea is to regulate qi and strengthen the spleen, dry dampness and resolve phlegm (by drying dampness to dispel dampness and dissolve phlegm), and eliminate accumulation and stagnation, in which Chen Pi plays a major role, while Pu’er Tea belongs to the category of food, and does not have medicinal properties, and is not used as a medicine. However, the effect of decoction is better than brewing, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions for medication.
Chenpi, bitter, pungent, warm, belonging to the lung, spleen meridian, has the effect of regulating qi, spleen, dry dampness and phlegm, clinically used in the treatment of epigastric (stomach and abdomen) distension and fullness, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, phlegm and so on. It is not suitable for patients with qi deficiency and yin deficiency and dry cough.
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae is used for treating deficiency of spleen and stagnation of qi, stuffiness and distension of stomach and epigastrium, loss of appetite, loose stools, or vomiting and diarrhea, etc. It is often used together with Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae and Poria; and for treating food stagnation of food (food that is indigestible and stagnates in the stomach) and stagnation of qi, distension of epigastrium and abdominal platoon, and belching of putrid and anorexia, etc. It is often used together with Fructus Crataegi, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Lycopersicum.
