Does febuxostat treat coronary heart disease

Febuxostat has no role in the treatment of coronary artery disease and should be used as directed by a physician.
The commonly used dosage form of Febuxostat is tablets, which belongs to a kind of oxidase inhibitor of xanthine, and can inhibit the synthesis of uric acid, thus reducing the concentration of serum uric acid. It can be used for the long-term treatment of hyperuricemia in people with gout. However, it is not suitable for use in people with hyperuricemia without clinical symptoms. Therefore, this product has no role in the treatment of coronary heart disease.
Adverse reactions to febuxostat include abnormal liver function, nausea, arthralgia, and rash. This product is contraindicated in people who are taking mercaptopurine and azathioprine.
Presence of coronary heart disease, should be standardized under the guidance of the doctor reasonable use of medication, not blindly take on their own, so as not to aggravate the condition.
