Widening of scars, i.e. keloid scars (including conventional keloid scars, hyperplastic keloid scars, keloid scars and atrophic keloid scars, etc.) can be improved by medication, physical therapy, as well as surgical treatment and filler treatment.
1. Medication: For conventional scar widening, it is recommended to apply local medication such as sodium heparin sodium allantoin gel and silicone gel, which can inhibit the proliferation of fibroblasts.
2. Physical therapy: For the symptoms of proliferative scar widening, fractional laser, intense pulsed light and other ways can be taken to promote collagen regeneration and rearrangement of the scar to improve the appearance of the scar.
3. Surgical treatment: If the symptoms of keloid widening occur, it is recommended to choose surgical excision, skin abrasion and other ways of treatment to improve the local symptoms.
4. Filler treatment: Patients with atrophic keloid widening can also opt for filler injections, such as fat gel, hyaluronic acid, and autologous cells to replenish the volume and smooth the keloid.
There are many treatment methods for widening keloid scars, and different treatment plans are suitable for different conditions of keloid scars. It is recommended that patients who are willing to be treated go to regular hospitals and under the guidance of specialists to carry out standardized treatment, and do not use medication on their own.
