Symptoms of early esophageal cancer are mostly inconspicuous. Clinical manifestations may include retrosternal discomfort, discomfort in swallowing, etc., but the symptoms are mostly atypical or even asymptomatic.
Early stage esophageal cancer has no obvious symptoms, but some patients may have post-sternal discomfort, burning sensation and pins and needles or tugging pain, and there may be slow passage of food, stagnation or mild choking sensation. Early symptoms may vary in severity and duration, and may even be asymptomatic with no obvious signs.
Gastroscopy is the first choice for diagnosis of esophageal cancer, which helps to improve the detection rate of early esophageal cancer, and the prognosis of timely radical resection is usually good. However, due to the atypical early symptoms, most of the patients go to the doctor only when they have obvious discomfort, and the diagnosis is already in the middle or late stage, and the long-term therapeutic effect is not ideal.
It is recommended to pay attention to the changes in the body in a timely manner, conduct regular health checkups, and intervene promptly if there are any abnormalities and seek medical treatment as soon as possible in order to achieve a better therapeutic outcome.
