Eyelids do not usually heal on their own. They are caused by bacterial infections, mainly due to inflammation of the glands after infection of the eyelid glands or the sweat glands in the eyelid skin, resulting in a hard, red, swollen and painful lump. Some patients with wheals may also develop pus spots, which usually do not heal on their own. The presence of wheals should be treated with antibiotic eye drops, such as levofloxacin eye drops, ciprofloxacin eye drops, and other medications under a doctor’s supervision. Surgery should be performed if necessary. It is recommended that patients with emphysema go to the ophthalmology department of a regular hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner, and use medication under the guidance of a doctor, do not self-medicate, and do not wait for the emphysema to heal itself.
