If you have a bad spleen, you can massage the Daling and Hegu points on your hands. Daling point belongs to the pericardium meridian of the syncopal yin of the hand. It is located in the anterior region of the wrist, in the transverse stripe of the distal part of the palmar side of the wrist, between the tendon of the palmaris longus and the tendon of the radial flexor carpi radialis. This point has the effect of clearing the heart and tranquilizing the mind, suppressing fright and spasm, broadening the chest and harmonizing the stomach. Massaging this point can relieve stomach pain, vomiting and bad breath. Hegu point belongs to the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian. It is located on the back of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, when the second metacarpal bone radial midpoint. This point has the effects of calming and relieving pain, energizing the meridians, clearing heat and relieving symptoms. Massaging this point can relieve epigastric (abdominal) pain, vomiting, constipation and dysentery. The effect of massaging the point is limited, and you should seek medical advice and treatment under a doctor’s supervision after discomfort occurs, and should not use medication or acupuncture on your own.
