Monthly baby stomach gurgling can be divided into physiological and pathological. Physiological and intestinal peristalsis, hunger related, pathological and lactose intolerance, constipation, pediatric functional dyspepsia and so on. 1. Physiological: Normal intestinal peristalsis will occur when the stomach grumbles, generally about 4 to 5 times per minute. If the frequency or sound is loud, it may be caused by the baby’s hunger. 2. Pathologic: (1) lactose intolerance: baby lactase deficiency, lactose in breast milk into the baby’s stomach and intestines, lactose can not be completely broken down, can not be absorbed and utilized by the small intestine, resulting in abdominal distension, intestinal hyperacoustic, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and other symptoms. (2) Constipation: It may be caused by congenital megacolon, anorectal malformation, congenital hypothyroidism, irritable bowel syndrome and other diseases, resulting in symptoms such as hyperactive bowel sounds, constipation and abdominal distension. (3) Pediatric functional dyspepsia: can be caused by diet, environment, gastric acid secretion, irritable bowel syndrome and other factors, leading to functional dyspepsia in babies, which will cause epigastric pain, abdominal distension, early satiety, belching (hiccups), anorexia, intestinal tinnitus and other symptoms. If physiologic causes are ruled out, timely hospitalization is recommended.
