Instead of laboratory tests, pathology is performed after removal of ovarian cysts, and the results of this test usually take more than three days to come back. Ovarian cysts may be benign, such as plasma cystadenoma, or malignant, such as mucinous cystadenocarcinoma. Therefore, for patients whose cysts are larger than 5cm in diameter, whose cysts are still present when they are rechecked after three months, and whose cysts grow faster, the cysts can be removed by surgery. After the surgery, the resected cysts will be examined by pathology, and the results of the histologic examination usually take more than three days to come out. Ovarian cyst is a disease in which cystic structures are formed in or on the surface of the ovary, and the disease is common in women of childbearing age. Most patients do not have obvious symptoms, and patients with larger cysts may have lower abdominal discomfort, swelling, abdominal pain, nausea, etc. Ovarian cysts may be luteal cysts, or plasma cystic adenomas, mucinous cystic adenocarcinomas, etc., and thus further pathological examination is needed. If ovarian cysts are detected, please follow the doctor’s instructions to improve the relevant examination and treatment.
