There is not an inevitable relationship between the survival time of liver cancer patients and diarrhea. How long a liver cancer patient can live is mainly judged according to the severity of the patient’s condition, treatment plan and effect. Generally, the five-year survival rate of early stage lung cancer with effective treatment is 25%~50%. Liver cancer is a malignant tumor of liver, which can be divided into primary and secondary types, mostly primary liver cancer. Early stage of liver cancer usually has no obvious symptoms, and when it enters into middle or late stage, patients may show abdominal pain, right upper abdominal mass, fatigue, loss of appetite and other uncomfortable symptoms. Surgery is the main treatment for liver cancer, including liver resection, liver transplantation, ablation, radiation therapy and other comprehensive treatments. Generally speaking, the prognosis of early primary liver cancer is relatively good after active treatment. After treatment by resection surgery, the 5-year survival rate can reach 30%~50%; for patients who undergo liver transplantation, clinical cure may be achieved, but after recurrence and metastasis, the survival period will be shortened to about 7~16 months. For patients with advanced stage, they usually lose the chance of radical treatment by surgery, and often need comprehensive treatment such as radiotherapy, etc. Their survival period is affected by many factors such as disease progression, physical condition and drug sensitivity, usually in several months to one year. Once liver cancer appears, it is important to pay attention to timely consultation and treatment in hospitals, the earlier it is detected, the earlier it is treated, and the better the prognosis will be.
