What is wasting functional dyspepsia?

Wasting type functional dyspepsia may be related to improper dietary habits, psychological factors, Helicobacter pylori infection and so on. Some patients, such as young women pursuing slimness and teenagers who are partial to food, have unreasonable reasonable combinations of staple and side dishes, and the types and quantities of three meals a day are not up to the standard, which may lead to wasting type functional dyspepsia. Some patients are caused by long-term or repeated mental stress. Patients with this disease often have a combination of Helicobacter pylori infection, suggesting that Helicobacter pylori infection is also a possible cause. Wasting functional dyspepsia is associated with many causes, and after the occurrence of the disease the patient has to determine the severity of the disease through a reasonable examination, which usually requires a visit to the gastroenterology department, gastrointestinal surgery department or even psycho-psychology department to identify the cause of the disease. Clinical treatment is mostly to improve the patient’s bad habits in all aspects, and drug treatment is mainly to inhibit gastric acid.
