How to treat limited dorsiflexion

Dorsiflexion limitation can occur in the ankle joint, wrist joint, etc. It may be caused by tendon or ligament strain, or due to tendon or ligament injury, nerve injury, etc. It needs symptomatic and causative treatment, and can be treated by conservative treatment, physical therapy or surgery.
1. Tendon or ligament strain: work fatigue or strenuous exercise may cause tendon or ligament strain, after the strain, the tension of the extensor muscle increases significantly, resulting in dorsiflexion restriction, which may be relieved after moderate rest.
2. Tendon or ligament injury: due to trauma or surgery, etc., resulting in tendon or ligament injury, ankle and wrist joint activities are limited due to pain, which can be relieved by ice/hot packs, physiotherapy, etc. If the injury is serious, surgery can be performed.
3. Nerve damage: such as ulnar-radial nerve palsy leads to dorsiflexion limitation of wrist joint, after nerve damage, proper rest can be taken, or the use of nutritive nerve drugs for treatment, such as nerve growth factor, etc. For serious nerve damage, surgery can be carried out.
Restricted dorsiflexion may also be caused by other reasons. When restricted dorsiflexion occurs, it is necessary to go to the hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of a professional doctor, so as not to delay the condition. Blind self-medication should be avoided.
