What to do about blood blisters in the mouth

Oral blood blisters must first remove the irritating factors and exclude blood system diseases, and depending on the size of the wound to wait for it to heal by itself or consult a doctor for puncture and blood sampling treatment.
1. Blood blisters should be treated by removing sharp tooth tips, root stumps, crowns or defective restorations to avoid repeated irritation of the oral mucosa and the emergence of blood blisters, and should also exclude blood system diseases (e.g., hemophilia, anaphylactic purpura, etc.) in order to prevent serious bleeding and other complications.
2. If the blood blisters are relatively small and do not affect the normal oral function of articulation or mastication, no special treatment is needed and the blisters will heal on their own; however, oral hygiene must be maintained during the healing period, and avoid eating too hard, too hot or spicy foods.
3. If the size of the blood bubble is large and affects eating or pronunciation, the blood and other secretions in the blood bubble can be extracted with a sterile syringe, and the mouth must be kept clean and anti-inflammatory and anti-puffiness medications (e.g., cotrimoxazole gargle, amoxicillin, etc.) must be used as prescribed by the doctor in order to prevent infections.
It is recommended to consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis of blood blisters in the mouth and then treat the symptoms to prevent delays in the condition.
