There are two prescriptions for Tong Yu Decoction, one from the Six Books of Medical Lore and the other from the Jing Yue Quanshu, which have different prescription compositions and different efficacies.
It is effective in treating and relieving the symptoms of spleen and stomach disorder, blood stasis and blockage of meridians.
It is usually used to treat endometrial odor, scanty menstrual flow, coronary heart disease and chronic gastritis caused by menstrual obstruction, stagnation of qi and blood, pale tongue and white lips. Patients are advised to take Tong Yu Decoction correctly under the guidance of a doctor to avoid any delay in the condition.
