Common causes of hip popping include physiologic popping, bone fracture, hip impingement syndrome, hip osteoarthritis and so on.
1. Physiological popping: when the synovial fluid of the hip joint is squeezed during activities, the air bubbles in the synovial fluid rupture, and a slight popping sound can occur, which is a normal phenomenon.
2. Fracture: Fracture of the femoral neck under the action of strong external force can cause hip popping, pain, difficulty in movement and other symptoms.
3. Hip impingement syndrome: Because of congenital developmental abnormality or repeated chronic friction, the proximal femur and acetabular glenoid rim collide, which causes snapping sound, mostly accompanied by pain in the hip joint.
4. Osteoarthritis of the hip joint: because of high age, obesity, long-term physical labor caused by degeneration of the hip joint and degeneration of the articular cartilage, manifested as hip pain, snapping, and difficulty in activities.
Hip joint popping and accompanied by joint pain, swelling and deformity, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, improve the relevant examination, clarify the cause of the disease, and carry out targeted treatment.
