Although one-year-old babies have already added complementary foods, dairy products are still an important dietary component, usually considered to be around 500~600ml for this age group, but there are individual variations which need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
The digestive system of 1-year-old babies is gradually maturing and they have begun to accept other kinds of food, such as semi-solid, soft-solid, pureed and other complementary foods, but dairy products (e.g. breastmilk or formula milk) still play an important role in their growth and development as an important part of their diet.
For babies of this age group, it is usually recommended that the amount of milk be fed 3~4 times a day, with each feeding being about 150~200ml, and the total amount of milk fed per day being about 500~600ml. However, the specific amount of milk fed should be decided in conjunction with the function of the baby’s gastrointestinal tract and the addition of complementary foods, and if the baby’s growth is normal, with a satisfactory increase in body weight and height, the baby can be considered to be having balanced diets with good nutrition, and the milk fed to him/her is normal.
It is recommended to go to the hospital for timely consultation if necessary, and be guided by a specialist physician for feeding.
