Can you have sex after a kidney puncture?

Sexual intercourse is generally not recommended after having a kidney puncture.
Due to the variety of renal diseases and the complexity of their etiology and pathogenesis, the clinical manifestations of many renal diseases are not entirely consistent with the histologic changes in the kidneys. In order to clarify the pathology of the disease and further diagnose the specific type of disease that the patient is suffering from, renal puncture is required.
Since renal puncture is an invasive test, sexual intercourse at this time may also result in bleeding from the wound. Therefore, sexual intercourse is not recommended. After kidney puncture patients should lie down for 24 hours, if the condition is stable and there is no hematuria in the naked eye, they can move down to the ground. During the period of lying in bed, attention should be paid to reduce the movement of the trunk, while the wound should be carefully observed for blood oozing and life care should be strengthened.
If bleeding or infection occurs after renal puncture, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to avoid delay.
