What’s this raised blister on the white of the eye?

A small raised blister on the white of the eye may be caused by physiologic hyperplasia, pathologic diseases such as lymphoid follicles, conjunctivitis, etc.
1. Small blisters growing on the whites of the eyes of the elderly may be caused by conjunctival elastic fiber hyperplasia, subepithelial connective tissue vitreous degeneration, known as blepharospasm. Generally do not need special treatment, when the bulge is obvious and affects the aesthetic appearance, it can be surgically removed.
2. Small blisters may also be caused by obstruction of small blood vessels in the conjunctiva, resulting in long-term obstruction of lymphatic fluid return and accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the eye to form conjunctival lymphocysts. When the cyst is small, it is not treated. When the cyst is large, it is removed by cyst surgery.
3. Small blisters may also be due to immune abnormalities resulting in a delayed metamorphosis of the conjunctival epithelium to produce raised blisters, closer to the cornea, often accompanied by photophobia, tearing, foreign body sensation, optic papillary hyperplasia and other manifestations. You can use topical dexamethasone eye drops and other hormonal drugs for treatment.
It is recommended to go to the hospital in time to see a detailed examination to determine the cause of the disease.
