The formula of Guiling Wuwei Licorice Soup consists of Poria, Gui Zhi, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Schisandra chinensis and others. The exact dosage should be increased or decreased by a medical professional.
Gui Ling Wu Wei Gan Cao Tang is a traditional Chinese medicine formula composed of Poria, Gui Zhi, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, and Fructus Schisandrae chinensis, which has the effects of warming yang qi, subduing rebelliousness (resolving upward rebelliousness of the qi mechanism with medicines that subdue qi), and benefiting the effect of diuresis.
It is effective in treating excessive salivation, dryness in the mouth, syncope of the hands and feet (unconsciousness, accompanied by cold limbs, even to the elbows and above the knees), and self-consciousness of qi rushing up from the abdomen to the chest and throat.
In this formula, Gui Zhi and Gan Cao are used to neutralize yang, Poria is used to induce the downward movement of rebellious qi, and Wu Wei Zi is used to keep the floating yang from floating upward. The combination of all the herbs can warm yang, subdue rebellious qi as well as diuretic effect. The adverse effects of the above formula are not known.
If there is a need for medication, it should be used under the guidance of a doctor and should not be used blindly by oneself to avoid adverse effects.
