It is contraindicated in patients with internalization of heat evil and yin deficiency (symptoms such as body heat, sweating, and heat in the hands, feet and heart). Gui Spleen Tang is composed of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Radix Panax Ginseng, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Poria, Radix Astragali, Radix Astragali, Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori, etc. It uses one less flavor of Poria than Gui Spleen Pill and replaces Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae with Radix Panax Ginseng, which enhances the efficacy of tonifying qi and tonifying blood, invigorating the spleen, nourishing the heart, which is similar to that of the Gui Spleen Pill. This formula is not suitable for those whose bleeding is due to Yin deficiency and Blood heat (symptoms such as dry mouth and tongue, heartburn and heatiness, etc.).
