Consumption of undercooked Fukushima snails may result in food poisoning, parasitic infection and acute gastroenteritis.
1. Food Poisoning: Proper consumption of fully cooked Fukushima snails will not have much effect or consequence. However, since the snail feeds on omnivorous food, there are various bacteria and unhygienic, it is not recommended to consume it in order to avoid food poisoning.
2. Consumption of undercooked Fukushou snail will cause human parasite infection, fever, headache, nausea and other symptoms, severe patients may appear dementia, or even death.
3. Acute gastroenteritis: Fukushou snails are easy to eat due to the growth of bacteria or parasites that infect the gastrointestinal tract and cause acute gastroenteritis.
