Deoxypregnene ethinyl estradiol tablets are used for contraception and should be taken on the first day of menstruation, continuously for 21 days and then stopped for 7 days. The next cycle begins on the 8th day after discontinuation. There should be no interruption in the dosage period, and if a dose is missed, it needs to be replaced within 12 hours. If a dose is missed for more than 12 hours, the effectiveness of the contraceptive may be reduced.
Adverse effects of this medication include nausea, breast tenderness, headache, and irregular vaginal bleeding.
