How to recognize sticky tongue in Chinese medicine

Excluding eating milk, soymilk, egg yolk, peanuts, etc. to make the tongue coating white, thick or surface attached scum, etc., “sticky tongue coating” to consider phlegm (water metabolism disorders formed by the pathological products), dampness, accumulation of food and other conditions.

Tongue diagnosis is only one of the four diagnostic methods of Chinese medicine (looking, smelling, questioning, and cutting), and should not be based on the clinical manifestation of “sticky tongue” alone, so it is recommended that a professional physician conducts an interview.
