From the perspective of Chinese medicine, Tianma, Codonopsis and Angelica are not contraindicated in the pairing and can be stewed together.
Tianma has the efficacy of calming the wind and stopping spasm (calming the wind and relieving spasm), suppressing liver yang, dispelling wind and clearing collaterals, and can be used to treat headache and dizziness, hand and foot paralysis, numbness of the limbs and rheumatism paralysis and other diseases.
Codonopsis pilosula has the effect of strengthening the spleen and lungs, nourishing blood and promoting the production of fluids, and can be used to treat diseases such as deficiency of spleen and lungs, poor appetite and tiredness, cough and asthma, deficiency of qi and blood, yellowish color, palpitation and shortness of breath, thirst due to injury of fluids, and thirst due to internal heat (fever accompanied by symptoms such as overeating and excessive drinking and urination), and so on. However, it should not be used with quatrefoil.
Angelica sinensis is a blood tonic, with the effect of tonifying and activating blood, regulating menstruation and relieving pain, moistening the intestines and relaxing the bowels. It can be used to treat blood deficiency and atrophy, dizziness and palpitation, irregular menstruation, menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea, abdominal pain with deficiency cold and rheumatism paralysis and other conditions.
There is no obvious contraindication to the combination of Tianma and Codonopsis, Angelica sinensis, and the three drugs can play a role in suppressing liver yang, benefiting qi and tonifying blood, and is suitable for patients with qi and blood deficiency and dizziness and headache.
