There are some differences in the composition, efficacy and effects of the medicines contained in Sinkiang Huqi Tablets and Shu Liver and Stomach Pills. 1. Shenxiang Huqi Tablet is composed of Shenxiang, Muxiang, Patchouli, Xiangshu (vinegar), Sha Ren, Chenpi, Curcuma longa (vinegar), Liushenqu (fried), malt, licorice, with the effect of regulating qi and dredging the liver, eliminating the accumulation of stomach, can be used for the treatment of stagnation of qi in the liver and stomach, epigastric (abdominal) distension and pain, plumping in the chest and diaphragm (stomach distension and discomfort), not thinking about food, belching (hiccups) acidic diseases, and so on. Pregnant women, spleen and stomach yin deficiency should not take this product, lactating women should be cautious. The adverse reactions of this product are not clear. 2. Shu Liver and Stomach Pill consists of vinegar, white peony, Buddha’s hand, wood, yujin, fried atractylodes macrocephala, Chenpi, Chaihu, patchouli, hot licorice, turnip, burnt betel nut, and aconite, which is effective in relieving liver and depression, and relieving pain in stomach, and can be used in the treatment of liver and stomach disorders, fullness and pain in the stomach and epigastric cavity, loss of appetite, eructations (hiccups) and vomiting, and bowel movement disorder, and so on. The adverse reactions and contraindications of Shu Liver and Stomach Pill are not clear. Discomfort should be promptly consulted, under the guidance of the physician’s diagnosis and selection of medication, not self-medication, so as not to delay the condition.
