What is acid heartburn in pregnancy

Acid heartburn in pregnancy may be caused by early pregnancy reaction or it may be related to gastrointestinal diseases.
1. Early pregnancy reaction: For women during pregnancy, it may be due to changes in the hormone levels in the body, thus causing the appearance of early pregnancy reaction. These women often have dizziness and fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, etc. Some women may have acid heartburn and other symptoms, most of which do not require special treatment and will get better soon.
2. Gastrointestinal diseases: some women may have gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux and other diseases, especially in the stage of pregnancy intake of high-calorie, spicy and greasy food, may cause increased secretion of gastric acid, resulting in symptoms of acid heartburn.
It is recommended that pregnant women should take into account their own situation and determine which of the above causes they belong to under the guidance of their doctors before handling and treating them.
