1. Folliculitis: If it is clearly caused by bacterial infection, it can be treated with topical clindamycin gel, mupirocin ointment or oral amoxicillin, doxycycline and other antibiotics. 2. 3. Boils: If the boils are not suppurating in the early stage, 20% ichthyolite ointment, 3% tincture of iodine or mupirocin ointment can be used externally to smear the lesion. If the lesions are large and local treatment is not effective, oral antibiotics such as cefixime and amoxicillin can be used. If the boil is in an advanced stage of the disease and pus breaks out, then consider incision and drainage treatment.
