What’s wrong with itchy nostrils?

Itchy nostrils may be acute rhinitis, nasal vestibular eczema, chronic nasal vestibulitis, etc., and should be promptly consulted to identify the cause.
1. Acute rhinitis: the disease is mainly caused by respiratory viruses, of which rhinovirus, coronavirus, adenovirus, influenza virus and parainfluenza virus are more common, and can be secondary to bacterial infection, the nasal cavity will be dry, itchy, and foreign body sensation and other symptoms.
2. Nasal vestibule eczema: It is a kind of skin damage that occurs in the nasal vestibule, which is characterized by skin inflammatory reaction with obvious tendency to ooze. The rashes are diverse, while the chronic phase is mainly characterized by localized infiltration and hypertrophy. Typical symptoms include nostril itching and skin erosion.
3. Chronic nasal vestibulitis: it is a chronic inflammation caused by frequent nose picking and plucking of nasal hairs, which will lead to chronic inflammation of the nasal vestibular mucosa with oozing, and the mucosa of the nasal vestibule will be crusted, and if the crusts are dug out, it will cause recurrence of inflammation again. Symptoms may include itchy nostrils, dry nose, and a foreign body sensation in the nasal passages.
