How long does it take to recover from a retinal tear

Retinal tears can gradually return to normal in about 2 weeks after treatment, but they usually do not heal on their own.
Retinal tears are mostly caused by retinal atrophy, vitreous pulling, etc. Patients may experience discomfort such as flashing lights in front of the eyes, floating objects or blocking sensations. Retinal lentigines generally do not heal on their own, and patients need timely treatment to avoid progression of the disease and serious complications such as secondary retinal detachment.
Due to the low risk of retinal detachment and the low damage to the retina caused by the laser, patients with retinal tears can be treated with laser therapy to close the retinal tears. After about two weeks of laser treatment, the patient’s condition will gradually stabilize and return to normal.
It is recommended that patients with retinal tears seek medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
