Lung Yu is an acupoint of the foot solar bladder meridian, under the spinous process of the 3rd thoracic vertebra and 1.5 inches away from the posterior midline.
Lung Yu acupoint has the effect of clearing heat and tonifying deficiency, nourishing Yin and moisturizing the lungs, and can be used to treat lung diseases such as cough, hemoptysis and asthma; Yin deficiency diseases such as night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, but sweating stops after waking up), and tidal fever of bone vapor (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from inside the bone to the outside); and skin diseases such as cryptic rashes and itching.
Lung Yu acupoints can be used to treat lung distension with Taiyuan point; for lung congestion and cough, it can be used with Tanzhong, Zhigou and Daling; for bone vapor and tidal fever, it can be used with Anguoji and Shusanli.
