What’s the pain on the inside of your foot after breaking it?

After breaking the foot, the ankle ligaments are overly stretched, resulting in partial damage or complete rupture of the ligaments, avulsion fracture, dislocation of the joint can lead to ankle pain.
1. Medial ligament injury or tear: medial ligament injury is caused by the strong external rotation of the foot, which occurs less often, and its clinical manifestation is pain, swelling, and pressure pain in the medial ligament area. If you hear a “crunching” sound when you break your foot, it is most likely that the ligament is torn.
2. Avulsion fracture of the ankle: a small piece of bone in the ankle joint is torn off by the ligament, resulting in a fracture, called an avulsion fracture. Sprains in the valgus position mostly injure the medial deltoid ligament of the ankle, but because the deltoid ligament is tougher, it is generally not easy to cause ligament injuries, and often occurs in the inner ankle avulsion fracture.
Avulsion fracture caused by external rotation pain, pressure pain are limited to the inner ankle avulsion, and the outer ankle and lateral ligaments are generally asymptomatic.
3. Joint dislocation: the fat tissue near the joint and the broken ligaments are embedded in the joint space, which will cause ecchymosis in the joint cavity and subcutaneous, and the ligaments can be combined with ankle joint dislocation when all the ligaments are broken, which will result in severe pain in the ankle joint and impediment to walking. Physical examination reveals obvious ankle deformity, swelling, ecchymosis, induration, and limitation of ankle joint movement.
Toe-flexion injury of the ankle joint, ligament overstretching caused by medial ankle pain, clear diagnosis can choose ankle X-ray frontal and lateral radiographs, according to the condition of timely medical treatment.
