Can Betalucil and Lovenox be taken together?

Betalock, generic name for metoprolol tartrate, and Lovenox, generic name for amlodipine benzenesulfonate, can be taken in combination for the treatment of high blood pressure combined with heart failure and other conditions, but care needs to be taken to avoid complications. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and myocardial oxygen consumption. Amlodipine benzenesulfonate can selectively inhibit the transmembrane entry of calcium ions into cardiomyocytes and smooth muscle cells, effectively reducing peripheral vascular resistance. Amlodipine combined with metoprolol can be used to treat hypertension combined with heart failure, coronary heart disease and other diseases. However, in the treatment, it should be noted that amlodipine is contraindicated in cases of allergy to drug components, hypotension, severe coronary artery obstruction, and impaired hepatic function; metoprolol is contraindicated in cases of hypotension, bradycardia, suspicion of acute myocardial infarction, hypotension, hepatic insufficiency, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and bronchial asthma. Athletes, pregnant and lactating women need to use with caution. In case of adverse reactions such as abnormal heart rate slowing or cardiac conduction abnormalities, hypotension, nausea and vomiting, abdominal discomfort, rash, itching, etc., it is recommended to go to the hospital promptly. If the above drugs need to be used under the guidance of clinicians, unauthorized use of drugs is prohibited.
