Epilepsy is usually ruled out by history, clinical presentation and relevant tests. The manifestations of epilepsy are varied, and may manifest as sensory, motor, behavioral, psychiatric, consciousness and autonomic dysfunction or a combination of several, and are characterized by seizures, transient, repetitive and stereotyped. When patients have clinical symptoms and need to rule out epilepsy, they need to take a detailed medical history, such as whether they have had similar seizures in the past, whether there is a family history, whether there is any trauma, etc.; they need to know the clinical manifestations during the seizure, such as whether there is any limb convulsions, foaming at the mouth, urinary and fecal incontinence, etc.; and they need to complete the relevant examinations, such as electroencephalograms, cranial CT or MRIs, etc., for the purpose of exclusion.
