Salt Cortex Eucommia is processed and concocted from Cortex Eucommia. It has the effect of strengthening muscles and bones, tonifying the liver and kidney, and tranquilizing the fetus.
It is a kind of tonic for liver and kidney, and belongs to the bark of Cortex Eucommiae, family Cortex Eucommiae.
It is sweet, pungent and warm in nature, and enters the liver meridian and kidney meridian. It is used to treat rheumatism and paralysis, lumbar and spinal pain, fetal restlessness, impotence, dysuria, frequent urination and habitual abortion.
Salt Cortex Eucommia is pungent and warm, and should be used with caution in cases of yin deficiency and fire exuberance (deficiency of yin essence in the body, resulting in hyperactivity of deficiency fire). Adverse effects of Salix Eucommiae are not clear. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to Salix Eucommiae.
