Early stage of esophageal cancer usually presents with retrosternal pain. Early symptoms of esophageal cancer are not obvious, mainly discomfort, burning sensation, pins and needles sensation or pulling-like pain behind the sternum. With the development of the disease, the cancer will compress the surrounding nerves or cause esophageal erosion or ulcer, the pain will worsen, and the range can spread to the neck, back, forehead, back and other locations. Esophageal cancer is not easy to be detected in early stage, patients should do esophageal imaging, laboratory, endoscopy, pathology and other tests to help make a clear diagnosis. Patients with esophageal cancer are advised not to eat spicy and stimulating foods, such as chili peppers, raw garlic, peppers and white wine. Early stage patients are recommended to consult doctor in time, not to treat by themselves, but to follow standardized treatment under the guidance of physician’s interview.
