Damectin (Gliclazide extended-release tablets)

Damacell (gliclazide extended-release tablets) has hypoglycemic effects and is mainly indicated for adults with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, also known as type 2 diabetes, whose blood glucose levels are not adequately controlled by diet therapy, exercise therapy and weight loss alone. Gliclazide extended-release tablets belong to the sulfonylurea class of insulin-producing agents, which are medium- and long-acting hypoglycemic drugs. The dose can be 1-4 tablets, or 30-120mg, once a day and is recommended to be taken at breakfast. If there is a time when you forget to take the medication, do not increase the medication on the 2nd day. Like all hypoglycemic drugs, it is important to adjust the dose according to the patient’s metabolic response. Its dose is 30mg for the first time and is adjusted according to the blood sugar and gradually increased. Adverse reactions to Gliclazide extended-release tablets can begin with symptoms of hypoglycemia and also extreme hunger, nausea, vomiting, and lethargy.
