At present, the use of fetal biparietal diameter to predict fetal weight is basically abandoned in clinical practice, and the error is quite large. In obstetrics, the accuracy of weight prediction based on fetal abdominal circumference is relatively high and widely used. The formula for calculating fetal weight according to the standard of uterine height and abdominal circumference is: uterine height × abdominal circumference ± 200g, which needs to be adjusted according to whether or not the fetus is in the pelvis, and the thickness of abdominal wall fat of the pregnant woman. If the fetus is in the pelvis, the estimation formula is: uterine height × abdominal circumference +200g; if not in the pelvis, the estimation formula is: uterine height × abdominal circumference -200g. The height of the uterus is the height from the pubic symphysis to the uterine fundus, and the abdominal circumference is the length of the umbilical cord around the pregnant woman. According to this method of estimating fetal weight is susceptible to the thickness of maternal abdominal wall fat, amniotic fluid volume, doctor’s experience and other factors, the accuracy is not high. Currently, ultrasound is often used to measure fetal growth in conjunction with the uterine height and abdominal circumference calculation method. Pregnant women should take obstetric checkups on time during pregnancy, and do a good job of perinatal health care under the guidance of the doctor, to avoid the occurrence of fetal oversize or undersize and so on.
