Chlamydia trachomatis infection in pregnancy is treated primarily with oral medication and requires concurrent treatment of sexual partners. Sexual intercourse is avoided during the treatment period. It is generally recommended that restrictions on sexual intercourse can be lifted after completion of treatment and review for definitive cure.
