Can you die of pneumonia?

Whether or not a new crown pneumonia will die is diagnosed according to the severity of the patient’s disease and the body’s own condition. If the patient is mildly ill or asymptomatically infected, he or she will usually not die; if he or she is severe, critically ill, has underlying medical conditions, or is elderly, he or she may die.
In the case of mild cases, the patient usually shows fatigue, low-grade fever, impaired sense of taste and smell and no symptoms such as pneumonia, and the patient is able to recover by relying on his or her own resistance. Other patients are asymptomatic, with no symptoms of their own, and can gradually improve and eventually recover without dying.
If the patients are critically ill, most of them show symptoms such as coagulation disorders, acute respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, etc. Infectious shock, heart failure, respiratory failure, and even multi-organ failure may occur, and a very small number of patients may also involve the central nervous system, and the ischemic necrosis of the limbs, which may lead to death.
In addition, if the patient belongs to the patients with high age, basic diseases and poor physical condition, it is easy to develop into a severe disease and may die.
