For patients with mild anal stenosis, conservative treatment is available through diet modification, adding dietary fibre, changing bowel habits, using faecal softeners, and manual or mechanical anal dilation.
For patients with moderate or severe anal stenosis, sphincterotomy and various anoplasty procedures are required.
