Detailed steps of urodynamic examination in women

The female urodynamics procedure involves the insertion of manometry tubes into the rectum and bladder, followed by the injection of sterile saline into the bladder and finally voiding manometry.
The patient is required to lie on her back with her legs spread and her genitals fully exposed.
After sterilization, a manometric tube is inserted into the rectum and bladder, and the instrument is connected at the same time. After that, a sufficient amount of sterile saline was injected into the bladder until the patient had a strong urge to urinate. Finally, the patient urinates on his/her own, simulating the normal urination process, and the instrument will automatically record the relevant data.
The urodynamic examination is an important reference value for understanding the physiological status of the female urinary system and the diagnosis of related diseases, and it also facilitates the doctor to make a correct diagnosis and choose an appropriate treatment plan based on a full understanding of the function of the lower urinary tract.
